| Project Background: Dynamic Dyno was developed primarily on my daily driven 2002 Acura RSX TypeS. I traded the RSX for a 2005 9-2X Aero manual in May 2005, taking advantage of the incredible incentives being offered. The 9-2X/WRX is an even better platform to demonstrate the capability of Dynamic Dyno since it has a larger aftermarket, can be inexpensively modified to produce significant gains, and has an all-wheel drive chassis which limits where you can run it on a chassis dyno. Also, the 9-2x will allow me to more closely investigate the validity of using SAEJ1349 corrections on a turbo engine at higher elevations. Dynamic Dyno is based in El Paso, Texas which lies close to 4000 feet above sea level. I will be measuring the effectiveness of all the modifications using Dynamic Dyno and will post videos (whenever possible) and photos showing key steps of the various part installations. I'm by no means a professional mechanic but hopefully the videos and photos will help others learn from my experiences (both good and bad). Project Car Goals:

| Biography: My name is Tony Reyes. I graduated from MIT in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Since then, I've been working for Delphi Automotive as an Analytical Test Engineer in the Steering Validation Lab. As a sport compact enthusiast for many years I looked to purchase a device to perform my own dyno runs on the road. I found many limitations with existing solutions and decided to develop a powerful, inexpensive, do-it-yourself dyno solution with advanced graphing capabilities and a modern interface. Dynamic Dyno was born in April 2005. You can contact me at: admin@dynamic-dyno.com |
